What Apprenticeship opportunities are there at UHCW NHS Trust?

University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust (UHCW) is supporting a limited number of Health & Social Care Apprenticeships, with candidates due to start in February or March 2010. What is the Apprenticeship programme?

This has been developed by the NHS to ensure that you receive training in all the skills required for a Healthcare Support Worker. You will be employed by UHCW from the very beginning of your training and be able to develop your knowledge and skills, whilst also gaining hands-on experience of the role.

The programme is a combination of theory and practice, with much of the learning being assessed on the Ward. Every learning programme is tailored to suit the individual Apprentice, to ensure that the combination of theory and practice is the right one. UHCW has partnered with NTC Training based in Nuneaton, and we work together to deliver a well-balanced, tailored programme.
